A True Story

Top Ten Bestseller!

When Stevie’s social worker told me Stevie was gender fluid I wasn’t sure what that term meant and looked it up on the internet.

Stevie, together with his younger brother and sister, had been brought up by their grandparents as their mother was in prison. But the grandparents could no longer cope with Stevie’s behaviour so they were placing him in care voluntarily. He came to live with me.

Like many young people Stevie spent time online and I warned him about the dangers of talking to strangers, and how to stay safe online.  When Stevie’s younger siblings told their grandmother that they had a secret they couldn’t tell I was concerned, as she was. But nothing could have prepared me for the truth when Stevie finally broke down and confessed what he had done.
