TOO SCARED TO TELL

Oskar quickly settled into his new life and, as I thought might happen, his calls to us became less frequent. He phones about every couple of months now when I also speak to Dol. He’s doing well at home and school.

At the final court hearing Roksana had told the judge she planned to visit Oskar more often than once a year at Christmas but that hasn’t happened, and really it doesn’t matter. Dol has become Oskar’s mother in all but name.

As far as I know Roksana still lives in the same multi-occupancy house with no plans to leave, and Oskar’s abusers remain in prison. Oskar and Leo are still in touch through Skype and also by text using Julia’s and Dol’s phones.

I’ll update again when I have more news.

Thank you for reading Oskar’s story. If you enjoyed it I’d be grateful if you could leave a short review on Amazon, Bookbub, LoveReading or similar.
