Tilly’s step-father was given a three year prison sentence which had been reduced because he’d pleaded guilty. This didn’t sound much to me but then his career and reputation were in ruins. He was also placed on the sex offenders register.
Tilly began talking to her mother but I won’t say more at present as I don’t want to pre-empt what happens in my next book. She still wants to be a police officer.
