Hi Cathy, I just want to say thank you for writing about your fostering stories. I’ve just got back into my reading after so many years of being busy with other things and my auntie gave me your Cruel To Be Kind book as she is a huge fan of your books. I’m very picky with what I read, but straight away the way that you write your books is so intriguing. I finished it in under a week! For someone that has such a short attention span that’s rather good. I’ve just started reading Where Has Mummy Gone, which once again my auntie gave to me. I reckon she has a stash of your books for her to keep pulling them out like she does. Thank you for working in the system and thank you for telling the world the stories about all the wonderful children you fostered. You seem like a very big hearted lady and the world deserves more angels like you.
Hi Cathy, I absolutely love your books. I’m an audible “reader” and have zipped through so many of them. At least 6 in the last 2 weeks. Denica Fairman who reads/narrates your books on audible is absolutely incredible too, is she not? Her voices of everyone and her inflections are just perfect. I don’t believe there is anyone who could have done a better job. Obviously the content of your books is incredible, however I also love the way you write. I feel like I know you personally and I “love” you from afar. Thank you so much for everything you do. All my best wishes and thanks to a wonderful human being,
Julie, USA, 28/06/2021
Hi Cathy, I so appreciate your work and service, telling your stories to give insight. I love how you even account for the logging of minutes, processes and procedures, how you interact, how the kids act out, your interaction with the multidisciplinary team. I’m studying social work and my dream is to help kids reach their potential. Your books are everything to me. Thank you. I am such a fan. Sincerely
Lauren, South Africa, 26/06/2021
Coming from an unstable childhood, as a teenager I found myself in bad groups of people. I lost my faith in grown-ups and one day I found your book “Damaged”. Reading it I felt less alone in the world. Your book helped me start the journey to be able to handle the pain. I started reading more books and trying to heal myself, I want to thank you for letting me know I’m not alone in the world and life is able to be changed. I finally found a therapist helping with overcome my trauma and my life has changed drastically. Listening to all your books made me try the closed choice technique on my nephew who never listens and to my surprise it worked! I will always pass a bookstore to look for more books. You aren’t just helping the children and families around you but also lost and lonely teenagers in other countries. Much love and appreciation.

Hi Cathy Glass. Yesterday I finished reading your book Damaged. It was very sensitive.

Good evening, I just wanted to send a quick email to tell you what an amazing person you are. I have read all your memoirs and I have already put in a preorder for the newest one. I have cried tears of joy and sadness while reading everyone of them. Sometimes when I lose faith in humanity I think about your books and remember that there are some good people out there still. You are an inspiration. I don’t know how you do it. You do wonderful and amazing things and I am so glad that I read that first book and that I have continued to read everyone. I get so excited for you and your family like I know you. Keep being you. Kind regards
I just finished reading the book, The Night the Angels came. I must say that this is one of the best books I´ve ever read, if not the best.
Eric, Belgium, 18/06/2021
Cathy, I have read most of your fostering books and have literally just finished reading A Life Lost with tears streaming down my face. I was saddened to read about your loss. My heart went out to you, your children and foster children. I cannot wait until your next book is published in September. Thank you for highlighting what a magnificent job foster carers do.
Hello, I was given one of your books in the first lockdown back in March last year (2020). I’ve never been one to sit and read a book unless it’s really pulled me in but I can get through one of yours in 48 hours or less. I literally cannot put it down. I feel every emotion while reading. It’s like I’m there with you, seeing and feeling everything you write about. I was hooked. I’ve recently had all of your books emailed to me, stored and ready to read. (I’m on my 3rd one since yesterday morning). You’re an absolutely beautiful person with so much love to give. You have touched my heart with all that you have done. Thank you for being you! All the best.
Dear Mrs Glass, I want to say you’re a real beautiful human. You do so much for abused children. They’re so lucky to meet you! You’re an example for all of us. I discover your books few years ago and it’s a pleasure to read you and many emotions seize me, curiosity, sadness, enjoyment, empathy and admiration. Thanks for this and for the example, I often think about you and it’s make me greatest days by day. I want to work with children. I hope you keep writing new books and more of your books be translate in French. I’m sorry if my English not be perfect and if you find mistakes. Have a nice day Mrs Glass!

Hello. I just wanted to say I love reading your books. I was a foster care kid, so I am able to relate to your books. It helps me so much being able to relate to them. Thank you for being an amazing foster parent. Lots of love
Dear Cathy, I am writing to you from Sweden. I have read all your books. I’ve cried, I’ve laughed, I felt emotions hard to explain. I am so inspired by you and everything you have done and still doing for children who need a hero just like you. I admire you and your strength and I would like to tell you that you are a big reason to why me and my family now is going to foster children. We have been through a long journey to become a foster family and about two weeks ago we finally reached our goal. We are now expecting a little one to join our family and I’m so happy that we came this far. Every time I thought of you and your books I felt more and more empowered to become a family home (in Sweden we call it a family home, earlier it was called foster family). So I just really wanted to thank you and let you know that you inspired me, and by doing that you are a reason that we can continue your work here in my home in a small village in Sweden. Thank you for helping us help children in need. Kind regards
Diana, Sweden, 06/06/2021
Hello I work with children myself in a preschool setting like your daughter Lucy. I love your books and have told many about your books. Very much appreciated.
Hi Cathy, I’ve read a couple of your books and I’ve simply fallen in love with the stories. I hate reading as I struggle a lot but since reading your books I’m hooked and I cannot put your books down. I want to read them all. Kind Regards
Just finished the book “Where Has Mommy Gone. This is the first book of yours that I’ve read. It was really good. I was a foster mother to a boy with foetal alcohol syndrome boy. He had kidney problems and was o about 8-9 medications. We also have an adopted son and a bio daughter. I have ordered 2 more of your books from the bookstore. Am eager to get them. Good Reading! Judy, USA, 30/05/2021
I have both read and listened to all of your books around fostering experiences. Reading them has given me such a massive sense of much needed validation. My childhood was not a pleasant one. I was brought up under a narcissistic mother with frequent unmonitored contact with her brother – and she knew he was a pedophile. Reading and understanding how you’ve reacted to children in your care, when they have been through similar situations, has given me the example of real parenting that I needed to become a good parent. I needed that example. I needed to read the care you gave these children and how you validated all of their issues and dealt with them. I just want to say thank you for sharing and being such a wonderful person.
Dear Cathy, I just wanted to tell you how much I love your books. I read the first one in early March and have read another 12 since. As soon as I finish one I can’t wait to read another. I haven’t been reading your books in order which, in hindsight, I wish I had but I have enjoyed each and every one. At the moment I’m reading Saving Danny which is very sad but also incredibly sweet and moving. Your understanding and patience is unbelievable in the face of so much sadness, hardship and adversity. The way you can reach even the most troubled of children and turn their lives around is quite incredible. I have great admiration for you. I also think your three children sound like they have been a wonderful support to you, as were your lovely parents. I also love the fact that you stay in touch with most of the children you foster. Thank you again. Pauline, 27/05/2021
Cathy, I want to start out by thanking you for all of your books and sharing our experiences with us. I have come to admire you and your work as a foster parent. I am almost 29, and do not have any children of my own. I feel that God is directing me towards being a foster parent, and hopefully, a parent through adoption down the road. There are so many children who need good homes and I think I have much to provide them. From reading your books for so long, I feel as though I know you and your family (as I am sure many of your readers do). I have always wondered if I could love a child the same way if I were to adopt vs having them naturally. Your relationship with Lucy has shown me that this is not something to worry about. Love for a child is natural in itself, and I can love a child no matter how they come to me.
Hello, I’ve been reading your books and I just wanted to say how inspired I am by them. I was in care because my mom and dad are drinkers. Care changed me for who I am today. You really are amazing and should be really proud of yourself and so should your children. Some of the things I have read in your books I have been through. I look back and I was out of control and never understood why until now. I went to many foster carers and care homes and just wanted someone to show me love. Don’t stop writing and keep up the hard work. You are truly inspiring.
Megan, 19, 20/05/2021
Hi Cathy, I’ve just finished reading Innocent, the story of Molly and Kit. It really moved me and, admittedly, by the end I felt angered. I’m from America, where the foster care system seemed full of holes growing up—at least in the state I was in. My mother was abusive. She took in foster children and treated them, and myself, grotesquely. The damage is something none of us has entirely been able to shake off even in adulthood. That being said, I identified with Molly and Kit in several ways. I felt so anxious for them. It is difficult to accept that their mother’s actions seemed to be less called into question because of the mental illness factor. It felt all too familiar to me. I can only imagine how trying of a time it was for you and your family. I hope those children are okay. Thank you for sharing these stories. Kind Regards
Christine. USA, 17/05/2021
Hi Cathy, thought I’d drop you a line to say I just finished “A Long Way From Home” absolutely fantastic, looked up what Anna is doing now, nice to see she is doing very well. What a wonderful outcome, you’re an amazing woman.
Amazing read from start to finish although the ending was so very sad and I’m extremely sorry you had to go through that! On a positive the care you gave those two little children was absolutely amazing. I can’t begin to tell you what an amazing foster carer you are, the children was very lucky to have you in their lives. Lots of love
Hello Cathy just to say I have all your books and I feel like I know your family. Your books are lovely to read and so heartfelt. All the very best to you. I am looking forward to more of your books.
Shirley, UK, 16/05/2021
Hey Cathy. Thank you so much for your latest book. They are always a great read. I have to say your books have totally gripped me over the years. You are the only author that I have read all the books. I get excited when a new one comes out. You are always inspiring. Thanks again for your books. Kind regards
Dear Cathy, I’m a big fan of you all the way from Sri Lanka. Me and my mother read your book about Jodie (Damaged) twice. Give my regards to Adrian, Paula, and Lucy.
Sakuni, Sri Lanka, 12.05/2021
Hi Cathy I’m a new foster carer. I read A Terrible Secret and it really hit home about what it is we do. The part where we take on the whole family rang so true to me and actually helped me to realise that’s OK to do as I am doing with my current placement. I’ve looked after 7 children in under 2 years and now have a wonderful young person who is settled and staying with me permanently. Even the simple things in your book such as log filling hit home, but also made me realise how we all have to do these things. Thank you for your books. I believe they have helped me feel better about what it I’m doing. I’m just about to start My Dad’s A Policeman. Thanks for being an inspiration Cathy and helping me to realise certain things are quite normal in what we do, but also what we do is also quite unique.
Kayleigh. UK, 12/05/2021
Dear Cathy, I have been reading you books for many years now and I will read everyone that you write. I still have some to buy but they are on my list. A Life Lost and Finding Stevie are on my book shelf waiting for me to read. I have just finished A Terrible Secret. Thank you for your much love books that help me get though the covid 19. Yours
Hi there Cathy. I’d like to tell you how much I admire you for the wonderful job you are doing, giving love, comfort and security to so many children who need it. I’m in awe! I’ve read quite a few of your books- Tayo, Faye, Harrison, etc, and loved all of them. But none of them have touched me quite like Jodie’s story. I cried buckets reading it. I honestly don’t understand how parents can be so cruel. I am amazed at how you put your life on hold for an entire year, to take care of Jodie’s physical, emotional and mental needs. I don’t know how you did it and it clearly wasn’t easy especially when you didn’t get the expected results. But you did it. And again, I am absolutely in awe. Thank you. Regards
Jenni, Germany, 02/04/2021
Good morning, It’s 1am and I’ve just finished reading your latest book, A Life Lost. I’ve read every single book you have published now. You are an amazing writer, an amazing woman and an amazing mother plus foster carer. I cried at the end. I’m sending love and hugs your way. I cannot wait for another book to come out. Love Katie, 29/04/2021
Dear Cathy, I’ve just finished A life lost and I’m in tears. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Thank you for sharing your memoirs. I have written to you before as I am a foster care. I mentioned my frustration at the lack of communication with the social workers. It’s still the same. Reading your books has helped me immensely as you write from the heart. I can relate to many situations that you describe which help me so much and I’ve learned a lot from you. Thank you again for sharing your experiences. You are a wonderful lady! Take care. Kind Regards
Cathy. I would just like to say me and the wife love your books. I feel part of your family as soon as I start. You are a great writer your books are so easy to read they make you part of the family. You are a gift from God the work you do with children. I have read all your books and I am waiting for your new one. God bless you.
Hi Cathy, I am a teacher in Australia. I have read about half of your books, and they have helped me enormously, although I often cry reading them! I have taught quite a few foster children, and for the most part they have either displayed very troubling behaviours at school. Reading your books has given me a lot of insight into some of the reasons for the behaviours, and some of the trauma they have experienced. Aside from that, I have genuinely enjoyed your books as a reader. I look forward to reading more.
Leigh, Australia, 24/04/2021
Hi Cathy, I have finished reading all the 4 Lisa Stone thrillers. I read them all within 6 days. I can’t wait to read your new book. With best wishes
Mee Lee, 23/04/2021
Hello Cathy I’m 26-year-old single mum that suffers with mental health I have a little boy who is very well looked after. I’ve been reading your books. I’ve just finished Too Scared To Tell about little Oscar. I’ve laughed cried and been so emotional through this book. It really touched me but it’s also helped me read as I’ve never been good a reading or spelling. I just thought this woman is amazing at what she does.
Dear Cathy I have finished 3 of your books. I think that you are an amazing woman to foster. I thought Where Has Mummy Gone about 8 year old Melody was very upsetting and moving. I have had a grandparent pass away from dementia.
Hi Cathy, I just wanted to let you know how much I love your books! My mum responded to one of your posts yesterday and she was ecstatic when you replied. I love your books and finished A Life Lost way before my mum because I could not put the book down. You have really inspired me and I hope that I will be able to become a foster carer when I am over the legal age. My favourite book is Hidden. I loved the end. Thank you for reading this email!
Storm, 14, 17/04/2021
Cathy, I have now read every book you have written so far, I am what my husband says ‘obsessed’ with your books. In fact I have read 18 of them in the last 6 months!! I cannot wait for you to bring out more books and stories of your fostering career. You are so inspiring and what you do is amazing. After reading all of your books when my children grow up we have decided to foster. All because of you!! Reading your books has inspired not only me but my husband, as I tell all about every story! Please keep writing, I don’t know what I am going to do with my time now until your next book in September! Keep doing the amazing work you do. Many Thanks Melissa, 17/04/2021
Dear Cathy, I had to write and say just how much I have enjoyed reading your books. I wanted to pass on my condolences and very much look forward to your next book. Please keep writing.
Sara, UK, 15/04.2021
I just finished A Life Lost and my heart just breaks for you and your family! I am so glad that she got to meet Emma. Much love, positive thoughts and prayers.
Hello Cathy, I’ve read your books, Finding Stevie and recently finished A baby’s Cry. The ultimate happy ending would be that they could be together with Jacob, sorry now I’m getting caught up. I’ve enjoyed the books that I’ve read, thank you. You’re an amazing person to share yourself and your love with these children, they’ve been fortunate to have someone like you in their lives.
Hi Cathy. I have just finished Cut. Your approach and patience is amazing. You’re a blessing from God for these children. I have been reading your books for some time now. Please don’t take my baby was one of the first ones I picked up. Thank you for writing these books. They are fantastic and the fact there are foster carers out there like you gives us faith in the future lives for these children. Chez, 11//04/2021
Dear Cathy, I’ve just finished reading A Terrible Secret and A Life Lost. I read them within 2 days. I couldn’t put them down once I started reading them, or rather listening to them as I’m blind. I was completely under your spell, reading way into the night. Cathy, you’re an angel. How blessed are those who came under your care. All the best to you Cathy.
Mee Lee, 10/04/2021, Malaysia,
Hi Cathy, I have read all your books and your Lisa Stone books. I had a stroke at 14 and could not read. I am very stubborn and learnt to read in about 7 months. I really love your account of the foster children. Thank you so much, Yours sincerely
Hi Cathy, I have just finished reading A Life Lost and my heart was broken for you. I want to send you a big hug. Reading your books I feel like I know your family. I loved this book and poor Jackson as well my heart went out to him but he was so lucky to have you take care of him. Love reading your books and can’t wait for the next one. Keep up the good writing and hope all your family are going good. Sending you lots of love.
Sue, Australia, 05/04/2021
I am not an avid reader but I saw your book ‘A Life Lost’ and was immediately drawn to it. What a great book and what a remarkable lady you are. I am so looking forward to my next book I have bought. Judith, 05/04/2021
Dear Cathy, I have just finished A Life Lost. My heart goes out too you. You will always be my favourite author.
Liebe Cathy! Meine Tochter muss mir immer ihren Emails übersetzen. Sie kann perfekt Englisch.
I started reading your books quite a few years ago and have read all but one or two. I love your books and your lovely family. I grew up in a very dysfunctional, abusive, and neglectful home and did not go into the foster care system but love reading about all the wonderful care that you give to the foster children. What an amazing mother you are and an excellent writer. I just finished reading Innocent and was shocked by the ending. Molly and Kit sound like such precious angels that I adore them too. I pray that no further harm was done to them. Thank you for the delightful journeys into your life as a caregiver. God Bless you, your family, and all the foster children.
Just finished Innocent. I am glad you are a caring foster parent since there is such a great need. Love all your books. Love to you and your family and all your foster children then and now.
Hi Cathy, My gran first gave me one of your books quite a few years ago and since then I have not been able to stop reading them! I grew up in and out of care, mine was mainly kinship but I also was in respite care. You remind me a lot of my foster carer – she was one of the only good adults in my life growing up. She was so caring, affectionate and I felt like she really was interested in me. She never gave me into trouble no matter what mood I was in and just helped so much. I was abused and neglected a lot growing up so I feel that reading your books, I can relate to them a lot. You help me to process what I’ve been through and your books always show a caring and understanding side of children in care. I have even managed to get some other people to read your books! I am interested in fostering and you encourage me so much! It’s nice reading your books and feeling less alone. You help me to feel less alone. I wish there were so many others like you Cathy, the world would be a much better place. You never let your children down and no matter what they’ve been through, you are there to listen. You are making such a difference to so many children’s lives and to the care system. I slipped through the cracks and wasn’t protected enough but it’s nice to see that there are children who don’t. You have given me the courage to speak up and to fight for what is right. Thank you for being you and for giving others like me some closure! You really are amazing!!
Name withheld. 31/03/2021
Dear Cathy, I have been a fan of your books over the years. As a health visitor, your books give me a unique insight into what it is like for children who have had to go into care. I can only imagine how difficult a time it has been for your family and hope that the lovely memories that you can draw on will in time help to ease the pain. Kind regards
Hey Cathy Hope you’re well. I have loved reading about your experiences in life. You are truly spectacular for all the love you have for not only your own children but all the children who you have fostered. You have been through a lot over the years, good and bad and everything in between. Your experiences are inspiring. Looking forward to your next book. Lots of love and blessings to you and your family. Take care and keep safe.
Hello Cathy, I was in foster care and then adopted. I went through a lot. I would just like to say that I love your books. I am determined to read them all. I would also like to foster and I really admire you. Thank you for writing and thank you for being such an inspiration to me. Kind regards
Hi Cathy I have read a lot of your books. I absolutely love them. You are one remarkable woman. I just finished “Too Scared To Tell”, so sad, thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for everything you do for these children.
Hi Cathy, I have just finished your book, A Life lost. It was an amazing book. I hope you and the family are all doing well, looking forward to your next book already. Hugs
Hi Cathy. I have only just got into reading the past year. My sister read one of your books first and told me to read one so I did. I’ve just finished A Life Lost and OMG. I was in tears at the end. Never thought a book could do that to me. It was brilliant all the way though. It was like I was living in your house at one point when you have the whole family there. You are an inspiring women and can’t wait to read the rest of them!
Hi Cathy, I have been reading your wonderful books over the last few months and have been meaning to e mail for quite some time. I felt so strongly about Innocent that the minute I finished reading it I knew I had to send you a message. How do you do it you wonderful lady? I have been so moved by all of your books but this one really struck a chord. You have my utmost respect and admiration. I work in the family department in a solicitors’ office and we represent parents in care proceedings. Your wonderful books have shown me the other side to what is, without exception, a very difficult and emotional time for all concerned. Thank you for sharing your memoirs Cathy – I am reading your books in order and am dreading finishing them all!! I have enjoyed every page of every book so far so thank you for keeping me entertained through lockdown and thank you for being such a selfless and caring lady. The world needs many more people like you. With the kindest of regards
Kia Ora Cathy! (that’s how we say hello in New Zealand), I’ve emailed you a couple of times before, the first when I was only 13 years old and I was so touched you emailed back! I have read all your fostering memoirs and I am four away from owning them all. Looking forward to your next books already. I can’t believe I’ve been reading your books for almost twelve years! As my bookshelf has changed as I’ve gotten older, and I’ve phased out the books I enjoyed as a teenager, your books have never left my shelf and are given pride of place. You still inspire me to be a foster carer. I’m studying to be a teacher, and I finish in November (our academic years are different in New Zealand, sending love to you and your family.
Melanie, New Zealand 20/03/2021
Dear Cathy, I have read every single one of your fostering memoirs and with each of them, I could not put the book down till the very end. I have just now finished your latest book, A Life Lost and my heart just broke for you and your children.
Dear Cathy, I have just finished reading your latest book. The ending brought tears to my eyes. I have all of your books and cannot wait until your next one is out. Since reading your fostering stories I feel I am on the journey with you. I have never read as many books in my life since finding you. I feel for you as you are such a kind giving person and your children should be so proud, I hope now the children are gradually moving on with their lives that one day you will find a better man that won’t cheat on you and cherish you for all your worth. God bless.
Irene, UK, 19/03/2021
Hi Cathy just finished your latest book, A Life Lost, another enjoyable book, hope Jackson and Tilly are both coping ok. Looking forward to reading your next book, which I’ve seen will be out in September. Take care. Kind regards
Dear Cathy, I have just finished your book A Life Lost, and have given it a five star review. Take care of yourself and whilst I am not very religious I do believe that you will be going straight to heaven. You are such a selfless person and I have so much respect for you as well as admiration. Looking forward to September. Best wishes. Nicole, Australia, 19/03/2021
Hi Cathy, Thank you so much for sharing your and your families experience with fostering. Growing up I always wanted to have loads of children, but was never able to. Then I wanted to foster, but my place is just a one-bedroom apartment. I have decided to become a CASA (court appointed special advocate). I am making my way through all your books. I love hearing about Adrian, Paula and Lucy, I feel as if you are all part of my family. And yes, your foster children. All of their stories touch my heart and I end up crying with every book. If only there were more Cathy’s in this world, it would be a kinder place to be. Love and many blessings to you and your beautiful family!!! With love.
Hi Cathy. Thank you so much for your books. I am an avid reader of your books. I think I have read them all on my kindle and can hardly wait for the next coming out next September. Sincerely yours
Hi Cathy I read A Terrible Secret. First book I have read of yours and I loved it. You have such a big heart. I used to work with mothers who were involved with dhs and got their kids taken away. I was their advocate/mentor and would try to help them stay sober and help with what I could. It’s a hard job and I admire what you do, especially writing your books. Sincerely,
Hi Cathy, I have just finished ready your latest book. What an amazing lady you are. I have had the privilege of reading all your books and I love every single one of them. You deserve a medal for all the time effort and support and love you have given to all the children you have helped over your years of fostering. I can’t wait to read your next book. They are always so inspiring. I feel I can picture everything that happens. Keep up your amazing work. A number one fan.
Hi Cathy, I read A Life Lost today. (It’s almost 3am as I write this as I wanted to finish it before I went to sleep). Having read all of your fostering memoirs to date I feel like I know you and your family very well. You have all become important people to me. Warmest Regards
Hi Cathy, I have just finished reading your latest book ‘A Life Lost.’ Yet again another amazing book. You are such a close family and it’s been lovely to hear how your own children are growing up and having children of their own. I am looking forward to your next book. Take care, from a very big fan of yours.
Hi Cathy, Just read another two of your fantastic books, Innocent and A Life Lost. Amazing work you do in fostering and the books. I am in the process of hopefully becoming a foster carer and would like to specialise in working with children with disabilities. Looking forward to your next book. Kind thoughts
Hi Cathy, I just finished reading your book “Where Has Mummy Gone?” I thoroughly loved the book. Started it yesterday and finished today as I couldn’t put it down. I fell in love with Melody. She had gone through so much in her young life. Despite the tragedy and hardship she endured I am so happy for her that she had you in her life. What a great storyteller you are. The world is a better place because of people like you!
Deb, Canada, 07/03/2021
Dear Cathy, I’ve just read your latest book, A Life Lost and I want to say how terribly sorry I am. It set me off crying. I just want to say how much your books have inspired me into going after my future career and my current education. I absolutely love your stories. I’ve been keeping up to date with them ever since I was 16, I’m now 24. I hope you and your family are okay.
Hi Cathy, Just an email to say I really enjoy your books and feel like a part of your journey. I am sorry to hear about your mother. Can’t wait for your next book later this year. Regards

Hi Cathy, I have just finished reading Too Scared To Tell and A Terrible Secret back to back. Once I’d started I couldn’t put them down, Absolute fantastic read. I’m off to buy your new one now. Keep on writing your fantastic books.
Hi Cathy, I just wanted to reach out to you following your latest book. I have read every single one of your books and recommended them to so many people. I am a SEN teacher and am fascinated by children’s behaviour and why they behave in the way they do. I just want to be another person who makes some of these children’s lives a little bit better by supporting them and trying to understand them rather than judging the behaviour. I’ve worked with a few ‘Jacksons’ in my time, bless his heart. Thank you for keeping my mind busy and learning for the last couple of years with your fantastic books. Thank you for the difference you’ve made to so many children. I very much look forward to reading your next book. With much love.
Hi Cathy. I have collected all your books over the years and I’m still blown away by each one I read. I have just finished Too Scared To Tell. I truly wept at the end. Your kindness not only to him but his brother is incredible. I feel like I’ve walked these journeys with you. You are truly an inspiration. Thank you for opening up your life to us and of those you have fostered over the years. I will treasure these books for the rest of my life. Kind regards One of your biggest fans.
Dearest Cathy, I have just completed A Life Lost, I have been reading your books for many years. You have no idea how much your books have helped with not only the physical but sexual abuse I experienced as a child. However I’m writing to send my sincere condolences. Sending love to you and all your family. Thanks for all you do. Yours truly
Hi I just want to say how much I enjoyed your latest book, A Life Lost. Keep up the good work for all those lost souls. I wish I was fit enough to do what you do. Many thanks and best wishes to you and your lovely family.
I have just read your latest book, A Life Lost. Of course I couldn’t put it down. Please never stop writing, I have read every one. Thank you.
Hi I just finished reading A Terrible Secret. My heart went out to the little girl Tilly. I have your next book to read about the 10-year-old boy. Looking forward to it, so touching. I have read every single one of your books.
To Cathy, I’d like to say that I think you’re an incredible human being, I’m 29 and mum to two little loves. I’ve read all of your fostering books and it’s definitely inspired me to want to help others. I’m emailing to say how sorry I am for your loss. After reading your books I feel I know everyone and I shed a tear. Thank you for inspiring others and for all the amazing help you have given over the years. You’re an incredible woman and role model. Sending you love.
Hi Cathy, I just wanted to let you know that I finished A Life Lost (in 2 evenings!) and it was amazing. It was so nice to learn the outcome. I think you’re such a special and amazing person to do what you do, literally saving the lives of innocent children who deserved so much more than the hand they were dealt. Much love,
Hi Cathy, I cried buckets at the end of your book A Life Lost! Your books truly make us feel like one of your family. I’ve read every single one of your books at least twice and listened to them on audible at least twice each as well! You are an inspiring person. I can’t wait for each of your books. All the best for 2021.
Hello Cathy, I wanted to tell you just how much your books have touched me. Not only because of the love you give to each child you care for, but because in you, I see a lot of my own mom. My mom fostered me when I was about six years old, and then went on to adopt me. She did the same for my two younger brothers, as she did not want us to be separated. She did this all at the age of 25. She had two children already so she went from two kids to five overnight. If you asked her- she would say that it was the reason she was put on the earth. She’s my hero and you are too. Thank you for making the world a better place!

Hello! Well you’ve done it again, another book I couldn’t put down!! Amazing!! I’m lost now I’ve read them all!! Honestly congratulations you never fail, Kind regards
I just wanted to reach out to you and tell that that through your books (I’ve read them all) I feel like I know you and your family. I cried reading about your loss and feel like a part of my own family is gone. I know you have a great support system but as a fan, I simply wanted to tell you how sorry I am.
Hi Cathy, thank you for writing such amazing books giving an insight into fostering. I’m currently studying to take my sgts exam and your books have made understanding the child protection offences so much easier. I think I can relate most of the offences / and ways of protecting the children to one of your books. You truly are one of life’s heroines for the fostering you do and the books your write. Kind regards
Cathy. I can honestly say yours are the books I long for. I would love for them to be made into movies. It would be such an eye opener and show how fostering is supposed to be and help these kids. Thank you for showing the kind and loving families these kids are welcomed into. Cathy, you’re in my prayers and heart.
Hi Cathy, I was given one of your books to read by a friend. It was called Mummy Told Me Not To Tell. I couldn’t put it down until I had finished it. Then I found myself going in to one of our book stores here to see if I could get any more of your books and I got the second one, Saving Danny. I found I couldn’t put that down. So I am pleased to say that I am hooked on your books and I will be buying more of them.

Good afternoon I’m just such a big fan of your books. Throughout my years of reading them I feel I have grown attached to yourself and your family. I actually cried after finishing A Life Lost and felt sad for you all. I just want to say you’re a massive inspiration to myself and my best friend who has just started her own fostering journey. She is 5 weeks into a family placement. It’s been a real challenge for her but she is doing extremely well. She is also a big fan of your books and they inspired her to become a foster carer. Thank you writing your memoirs. I really look forward to your next book. Kind regards.

Dear Cathy, I have just finished reading your latest book which was about the young boy Jackson. I couldn’t wait for the book to come out as I was also interested in Tilly’s story. Wow is all I can say about the book. My heart went out to Jackson and his family. Their poor family already hurting from losing his dad and then to lose his brother in the circumstances they did was just truly awful. There were times through the book that made me tear up. You do an amazing job as a foster carer in all your books. It was sad reading this book especially the end. God bless you all. I can’t wait to read your next book. Having dealt with a lot myself I would say reading your books has given me help and insight. Good luck to all your family and I look forward to your next book.
Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for the hard work and commitment you’ve given all this time. Each child, parent, relative you’ve connected with have been blessed by having known you and received care and support from you. And of course, the love and care you’re yet to give, whether that be to other foster children or your own family. It’s been a journey reading every single one of your books. Thank you again, I do love being able to share this journey with you.

Hello Cathy, I hope you are well especially during the current pandemic. I have been an avid fan of your books for a few years now and can honestly say I have enjoyed every single one. I am always impatient for your next new title to be issued. Reading and music has helped me cope with self-isolation. I must have well over 20 of your books now and have read many more than once. I have a friend in Pennsylvania who I told about your books and I am going to send some to her. Please keep writing as your books give many lots of pleasure Best wishes,

Dear Cathy, I’ve just finished reading your new book “A Life Lost”. What a sad story. It was difficult reading about Jackson’s brother I also want to send my condolences. Looking forward to reading your next book which I understand is out in September “An innocent baby”. I’ve left a review of this book on Amazon. Many Thanks,
Hi Cathy, I picked up your ‘A Life Lost’ book and literally could not put it down, so much so I read it in 2 short days. I just want to say I think what you do is an amazing thing and you really are a true hero.
Dear Cathy, I’ve finished Nobody’s Son, the first of your books I’ve read. Congratulations on an extraordinary story, beautifully told and totally engaging. You have achieved what I thought would be impossible – a compulsive narrative that I couldn’t put down, but knowing full well that, at any time, heartbreak is just a few pages away. I cared deeply about all your characters (with the exception of Edward). I was even able to feel sorry for Rosemary, but frustrated and annoyed with her lack of perseverance. Thank you also for the updates on your web page. The conclusion of Alex’s story was dramatically satisfying. I am a retired primary school teacher who has always been passionate about student welfare and a school curriculum that meets the needs of all children. I have worked with many families with children fostered, adopted and in care. Your books would have provided a wonderful resource for teacher, parents and support staff, if only they had been available at the time. I’m sure they are being used as such now. I look forward to reading more of your books. Kind regards

Hi, I have read almost all of your books so far and am currently reading the story of Jackson. I have loved all of your books and they have made me laugh some and cry some…. well a lot lol. I love what you do and my late husband and I tried to foster but his health prevented it from happening. I have loved not only hearing about the kids you foster but what’s happening in you. I look forward to reading more of your books. You are truly one of God’s angels. Please continue to not only foster but to write about it. I not only read the books but read the updates you give. Thank you so much for enriching my life the way that you have Much Love,
Kate, USA, 19/02/2021
I absolutely love reading your books, and seeing updates on the foster children. I have read several of your books, and look forward to reading more.
I’ve read most of your books, apart from Hidden, and My Dads A Policeman. They are the next ones to buy. I admire you so much. The stories in the books are a joy to read. I never get bored. When I have read one I start on another. Some of the stories are quite sad but they usually turn out alright with help and hard work. I’m emailing you to let you know what a great job you are doing. Thank you very much for sharing these stories with us. Take care
Dearest Cathy, Wow! Is all I can say! I stumbled across your books about 2wks ago and let me just say, I’ve read almost every one of them! I am literally addicted. You are truly one of the most amazing women I’ve read about. I really feel like I’ve gotten to know you through your books. I hope Adrian, Paula, Lucy, and yourself are staying safe during this pandemic! Much love from
Ashley, USA, 13/02/2021
Dear Cathy, Just a short and sweet note to let you know that I LOVE your books! My Nan gave me one for Christmas and I’ve since bought 7 more, and I’ve truly enjoyed every single one. I don’t have much free time nowadays, being a final year uni student and working full time, but I always have time to read your books. I love them! I think I have found my new favourite author. Kind regards
I just wanted to say what an inspiration you are. I have been reading your books since I was 12 years old, and hearing about how the children you looked after had been so let down by social services actually inspired me to want to be a social worker. I am currently an undergraduate in BA social work and on placement helping young people who are homeless/need supported accommodation. All in all, I just wanted to thank you for the impact you have had, not only on the lives of the children and families you have personally worked with – but the impact on every single person who has read your books. You truly are an amazing woman, Cathy, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for absolutely everything. Kindest regards.
Hi I loved A Baby’s Cry. You are an exceptional lady. I was nearly crying reading this book. Take care
Dear Cathy, I just finished your book “Damaged”. It was an unbelievable story. I must say you are a great woman and very sorry for Jodie. Your children are very lucky to have you. Thank you very much for your effort. Much love. Regards

Good morning, I love your books. I’ve read them all more than once and am eagerly awaiting your next one. You are an inspiration and since reading your books it has strengthened my ideas to become a foster carer myself. Take care and many thanks for sharing all your books.
Hi, I just wanted to say that your books are literally the only books I enjoy. I was born in the 90’s and some books really set the scene of my childhood and make me consider certain factors of my own childhood. I love hearing how quickly you take those children under your wing from a genuine place in your heart. You have really made me consider fostering.
Hi Cathy I’ve just finished reading ‘Innocent’. My heart wrenched for you when you at the end. I really don’t know how you coped. Thank you for helping so many children. Thank you for writing such brilliant books. I have ‘A Terrible Secret’ to start reading next. Keep up the good work.
Habe mir jetzt das 4.Buch welches in deutscher Sprache übersetzt wurde gekauft. Es ist wieder sehr interessant geschrieben. Ich hoffe das bald ein nächstes folgen wird. Bin schon sehr gespannt darauf. Besuche jedes Jahr die Buchmesse in Leipzig die ja in diesem Jahr wieder ausfallen muss wegen Coronavirus. Vielleicht sehen wir uns ja dort mal. Bleiben Sie gesund.

I’ve just read Can I let You Go, and I just love how you are willing mum to succeed. I have kids but it can be hard sometimes. Please keep fostering and fighting for children. Looking forward to getting your next book. Thank you so much for brightening up my life with your books which ooze love!
Hi Cathy, I have now finished every single book you have written. You are the earth angel so many kids were so lucky to have. Every single book has touched my heart. Can’t put my admiration into words.
Hi Cathy, I just wanted to say thank you. With the whole covid pandemic going on your books have been one of the only things to keep me going and keep me in a good place. I struggle with depression and anxiety and your books take me to another place. You are such a inspiration and I love reading all your books. So far I’ve read 15. I’m a keyworker and have worked through all our lockdowns so hard trying to find spare time to read, especially with my children at home. Really really looking forward to reading your next one!! I’ve pre ordered it. Hope you and all your family are keeping safe and well. Stay safe. Many thanks.
Hi Cathy, I cannot stop reading your books!! Every book I have read has been thoroughly enjoyable. I have now found myself an avid collector of all your books and waiting for your next new one to come out. Currently reading Hidden extremely good book, sad and happy all at the same time. I feel like I can actually see you with these kids! I think you are an inspiration to all those you have fostered. Well done Cathy Glass. I cannot wait for the next book to come out, keep up the good work.
Dear Cathy, I just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your family. I adore you books. l have read them all and l am now revisiting them via audio books during lockdown. I have recently had to have 2 major operations and l been unable to walk. During this time l have been totally absorbed by your memoirs. You have made a difficult time very easy to endure. Thank you, kind regards
Hi Cathy, I hope you and your family are all well throughout this pandemic which is affecting all our lives. I just wanted to say thank you for another superb book ‘A Terrible Secret’. I’ve just finished it and I loved every minute. It’s so well written that I can actually visualize your home and your lovely family. I can’t wait for your next book which I have preordered. Don’t ever stop writing of fostering, the children you foster are so fortunate to come live with you and your family. I have left a review of your last book as I always do, you deserve the praise. Best Wishes
Hello Cathy, I’ve read all your books and I’m waiting for the next one to be out!! They are fantastic and I can adapt them to my situation as a child, I can never put your books down!! You sound a lovely family. Keep writing, your amazing!
Hi Cathy, I think you are a brilliant foster carer and have done so much for the children in your care. I almost feel like part of your family after reading so much about them. Your books gave me inspiration, and made me reflect on my own childhood. I have so much empathy for the children in care, the children who are suffering, and the now adults that have never quite dealt with their trauma. I want to give something back so I am starting a new career with a course on counselling. Thank you again. I look forward to your new book to come out. Take care.
Hello, I’d like to thank you for your books. I love reading them. I’ve just finished A Terrible Secret which I enjoyed. I’ve just pre-ordered February release, thank you
Good evening, I have been following your work for some years now. I’m 24 years old and read your book “Cut” many years ago as I was struggling with self-harm and suicidal tendencies. The book really called to me! Your work is absolutely phenomenal and I can’t wait to read on. I’m currently 3 chapters into “Innocent” and am so gripped already! Thank you for your work.
Hi Cathy Hope you and the family are all well. I have just finished A Terrible Secret bout Tilly… once again I loved it. It’s your books that are getting me through lockdown. Can’t wait to read your next one. I’ve just ordered another 3 from Amazon. I’m hooked. Please don’t ever stop writing I love every one of your books. Take care.
Hi. I just want to thank you for the books you have published, the real life stories you are telling. They have become my coping mechanism rather than relying on a therapist. Reading your books is like opening up my own life story, I never thought I would cope with this, I never wanted to, I wish I had forgot. It’s helping me heal, I didn’t even know I was broken. In the last month or so I have realised the ‘norm’ for me growing up was in fact like living in a war zone. Thank you so much for sharing reality with the world, I could only have wished you were my foster carer. Best wishes
Dear Cathy I have read so many books of yours and it encourages me. I learn so much. Thank you for being such a blessing. God bless.
Hi Cathy I have read many of your books. What a caring woman you are. I really enjoyed them all and the way you work with these children. I am reading Will You Love Me?
Hi Cathy I love your books so much. I never liked reading until I found one of your books on a book shelf at school. I showed my mom your book and she loved it. She bought almost every book you published. She is overjoyed when another of your books comes out. When it does we’re going to get it. Thank you for keeping up the good work.
Carly, Canada, 12/01/2021
Good Afternoon, I admire your way of handling children. When I read Damaged I thought the best way to handle Jodie would be to spank her. That is the way I was raised. But my circumstances were totally different to Jodie’s’ and afterwards I saw that all she needed was to be loved. Thank you so much for sharing your stories with us, and in such a way that we can learn from you. I raised my daughter with love and patience and today I see how it benefited her. She is studying to become a teacher. Looking forward to reading all your books. Thank you so much. Please keep on writing! Kind Regards.

Hi Cathy I’ve just read A Terrible Secret. I loved it and poor Tilly was such a nice girl who was treated so badly. I have all of your books. You’re a brilliant author and have three wonderful children. hank you Cathy. Can’t wait for your next book.
Dear Cathy, I am an avid reader and I have read a lot of books written by you. I have an adorable 5 year old girl. I just started reading your books to know more about handling kids and parenting, but as I read the stories of kids you have fostered, I was really touched by the sadness in their life and comforted by the empathy, kindness and love you have showered on them. I feel that as a mother I can really connect with the feelings that you have gone through while you were taking care of the kids. I really want to thank you for the kindness that you have bestowed on those less privileged kids. Thanks for helping them and making the world a little better. The world needs humility and love. Warm wishes and blessing for you and your family. Love
Hello Cathy, I hope you and your family are keeping well in this current climate. I just wanted to say I have read your books for years now and I wanted to thank you for sharing your stories. I think you are all amazing and your books give me more courage to keep working towards building a future and maybe one day be able to help children as you do. Yours Sincerely
Hi Cathy, I just finished reading your book The Silent Cry which I thoroughly enjoyed. I liked how the story wasn’t primarily about one child you fostered but of a family you met and supported using your wealth of knowledge and skills! That being said it was lovely to read the shorter stories of the three other children and the relatively happy endings for those involved, something I know isn’t always the case. I am currently in my third year of a social work degree and I am interested in fostering and adoption so your books are really interesting to me and teach me a lot too. Kind regards
Hi Cathy, I bought A Terrible Secret and once again I couldn’t put it down. I feel like I know your family down to your cat now Sammy hahaha. You are the only author I read. I have all your books and want to go back to re-read Lucy’s story after hearing her news. I’m so excited about her news and I cried when I read about you finally receiving the text. I wanted to say a massive thanks to you, you have helped so many children over the years and you have had a massive impact on them changing and believing in themselves, it’s a gift that you keep giving. Your kids also so caring and giving! Much love
Lisa, Australia, 02/01/2021
Hello Cathy, I really hope this email finds you well. I have been reading your books for so many years now, and every time I read them I just wonder what your children look like!! When I’m reading I imagine your house to be my grandad’s. I still have some to read and have already preordered Jackson’s book. I love reading all about your work and how the children are doing. Best wishes
Dear Cathy. I’ve been reading your books for a while but recently on holiday I got the chance to read back to back books uninterrupted as our foster child refused to take a Covid test to be able to come with us. We were really upset about it as she said she was happy to stay with another foster family. I hadn’t realised the break we all needed until we came back. I want to thank you for your insight into the children you have fostered. We too have been let down by the children’s social workers and I admired your composure when you described how they have spoken to you. I would have put the phone down after a few choice words which probably shows I have much more to learn. I have been a foster carer for 15 years and enjoy every second. The children have taught me far more than I ever expected them too. Thank you very much for your insight. Lots of love to your family
